How are HomeViews Area Guides ranked?

Being featured in the HomeViews area guides are the best way to increase your exposure on HomeViews as well as your SEO on Google.

Area guides are ranked by all-time data, and in accordance with a building's Star Rating. The higher your star rating, the higher your position in the Area Guide. A development will only appear in an area guide when it has at least 5 reviews.

All HomeViews Area Guides have a recency bias to favour developments with recent reviews. For developments to appear in the Top 10 of an area guide, they need to have at least 10 verified reviews within the last 12 months.

Star rating is not to be confused with the Overall Score you see in your portal. The Star Rating is the one you can see on your development page, and this is the one that counts for all rankings.

What can I do to increase my ranking/rating?

The only way that you can increase your ranking is through ongoing review collection. The more reviews you get, the more likely your position in the area guide rankings will change, as well as your overall ratings.

Any new reviews will impact your score, however, reviews that are more than 12 months old will start to lose their weighting due to the historical weighting algorithm. This may be why you see small changes in your scores when getting new reviews.
